The Logo 🪧
Yes – the logo. VirtuaMakers 🦜's own company mark, the one at the top of every page on this site, is genuinely for sale.
That's the price for the mark exactly as it stands today: 2D, pre-NFT, pre-3D. (It may become a 2D NFT soon – this listing just describes it accurately as of right now.) Interested? Reach out at VirtuaMakers@Outlook.com.
What buying it actually means
Three things follow from a sale. First, VirtuaMakers 🦜 keeps a limited, historic right to use this design going forward – liberally understood, since a company's founding mark is hard to fully retire. Second, a new official logo takes its place within about a month of the sale (the transition period, at least this first time around). Third, that new logo will bear a family resemblance to this one, but it won't be a copy – every version afterward is its own design, related to but ultimately different from what it displaces.
Why the price only goes up
Every future logo change will cost significantly more than the last, and that's by design. Part of it is simply real: rebranding is expensive, covering new assets, new marketing, and updating everything the old mark touched. But it's also a deliberate mechanism – each logo sale becomes a way for VirtuaMakers 🦜 to fund whatever its next moonshot happens to be. Sell the mark, fund the mission, rebrand, repeat.
This sale's moonshot
This first logo is for sale with the moonshot goal being an angel investment – specifically, one covering the cost of hiring someone to create a 3D NFT of the next logo, the one that replaces this one, native to on-chain from day one rather than a 2D afterthought.
